anyway this is one ~!@#$ long weekend we have. and no, having a day off for Youth Day is of no consolation to me.

what good will it be anyway, the day will still be spent studying for all the blasted upcoming test =[

oh woe is me. what a way to celebrate our youth by staying at home, armed with a pen and papers everywhere.

but still, i had quite a Happy Youth Day yesterday. the concert was enjoyable, just not being in the classroom and laughing so much with friends without having to shutup and concentrate during lessons, playing all that i want after school etc. it just spells F-U-N =]

so hm, a belated happy youth day to all, we're getting older each day (no children's day for us already).

darn it has only been 3 days back in school and it already feels like eternity =[

and with the help of my new seating partners, val and pamela, i managed not to sleep in class at all!

yay me.

but now i am a very sleep-deprived student. pfft.

anyway i noticed the school is rather empty after lessons. the courts are all empty before 6pm, kind of a miracle.

guess everyone is busy mugging and stuff. which i probably should start doing too bleh.

on a lighter note, FRIDAY IS YOUTH DAY! half day, ends at 12pm.
not very excited, just that it means we get a day off from lessons, plus monday too =]

and then, the next holiday is a month away : national day.

so hmm, better enjoy as much as i can hah.

rather fruitful i must say. haha.

darn i DONT WANT school to reopen tmr pfft.

sure i miss seeing all my friends, playing volleyball after school and etc. but enjoyment comes at a price. like the homework the teachers give out as if they're freebies and of course, the looming exams =[

oh weell. just hope that i'll be able to adjust from my "holiday" mood to "school" mood in time.

meanwhile i'll take my time to say goodbye to days of waking up late, the pure luxury of doing nothing, going out and just plain having fun.

and i should probably start my countdown to the end of year holidays now that this holiday is ending. hah.

went to michelle's house to do bio again lol

and we ended up lazing around in her blue blue room that makes us feel so sleepy..

and lead to me to have random thoughts like:

why hasnt anyone invented a device for skaters to alert others in their way?
why do i spend more when i am alone

lol pardon me for the recent lack of posts, have been awfully busy!

FIRST UP, 3G-STRINGS CHALET! =]

a couple of us met up earlier to cycle. poor vanessa and i were the only ones blading!

then the rest came, and we started to set up the barbecue

but the fire thingy wasnt going too well and a saint (woman in blue) came to help us! a real expert with probably years of experience cos she had our fire burning nicely in no time

lots of people actually brought homework such as cao fang zi to the chalet, hoping to be able to complete it via dishonest means haha but i guess we all were having much fun to bother =]

the day after, Thurs, didnt go down to the chalet but went to the library instead. a valiant effort to finish up my homework!

my performance was dismal, utterly pathetic. oh wait, since when has it been good anyway? hah.
but i have awesome juniors, they'll bring glory to dhstrack i'm sure =] jiayou for all ur nats ok!
oh yes, trials for the C girls next monday, best of luck to all =]

feeling so darn tired but no, have to finish my hw before tmr's 3G-STRING chalet!

COUSIN'S WEDDING DAY!

he's the first in my paternal side of the family to get married, so everyone was understandably excited =]

my mum couldnt sleep the previous night and woke up at 2am, despite the fact that it's not even her son haha. so i reckon my aunt didnt sleep at all lol

in the morning:

gayness =] we asked him to hit on the bridesmaids but too bad they were all older than him haha

it's the first REAL wedding i attended, and by REAL, meaning that i actually know the groom/bride well

and i felt so happy for them i almost cried lol. it was just so sweet and hm - insert any positive/beautiful word. really heartwarming, and it was kinda weird seeing my usually goofy cousin being so serious =]

got bored during the dinner and played with the wedding souvenirs haha

just got back from east coast, 2K gathering!

despite it being so impromptu, 11 people turned up! for us 2K '06, 11 is a big number already, seeing that we only have 25 people to start with haha.

i went earlier to blade, then waited for the rest to come at 3pm, sihui the queen was the latest haha.

for a while we managed to trick matthew into thinking that evan decided at the very last minute not to come, leaving matthew to be the only guy enjoying all the attention from 9 girls haha!

we rented bikes and made our way to dhs old campus!

the foyer still very intact, but the buildings behind demolished

then to KFC!

sihui and i guarded the bikes while the rest bought food, cos we were afraid someone would steal them haha

*sihui has got a mighty tattoo around her collarbone! haha maybe that scared off some potential bike-stealers eh?

i'm joking, what good would a tattoo with a teeny heart on the demure sihui do, if a bunch of gangsters come along? haha she'll seduce them maybe?

we rushed back to the bicycle rental store, matthew evan and i sorta racing each other lol.
then i had to go back home ASAP, before it got too dark and the streets are full of prostitutes. =/

hmm i miss 2k and mrs lee's sarcasm and twitchy mole.

on the way home from bugis yesterday, mum and i saw a RAINBOW!

was able to see it from my house too!

it's been ages since the last time i saw one, so i was feeling really happy haha

so hmm, yesterday went out with mummy to bugis and suntec. so many people that we didnt really have to the mood to shop =[
attempted to have a manicure/pedicure at bugis village but it totally sucked, so we actually went home and remove the nail polish and stuff haha

ooh anyway today was/still gonna be an exciting day!

cousin ahboy's wedding =] we went to his house earlier in the morning, loads of pics, and later there'll be the wedding dinner at some grand copten hotel. yay!

haha yesterday after training, while waiting for mich jolyn veron and seewei, yding and i played tennis! or rather i attempted too, and ended up picking up balls more than i played

seewei taught us spastic games her bro taught her. some game that involves saying "mm chi chi mm chi, tongkat tongkat and some tutu thing haha!

then rushed to kelly's house! played tennis, as said in earlier post.

took lotsa photos, till her cam was low on batt!

hoho the FINAL PART: DAYS 7 & 8!

we went to shop before heading off to a river cruise and i saw this:

hm and within 1hour plus, i bought 4 tops, shiying bought 2 i think lol

but i think i sorta did impulse-shopping due to the lack of time to make sane judgements plus shiying saying "it's 10 bucks just buy la!" -. but the clothes there ARE rather cheap, and they're having 50% off kind of sales too lol

while waiting for the cruise....

we chatted and both sides got to know more about each other's school life and such. they were horrified that we can survive without coffee haha

DAY 8:

shopping for 2 hours was hellish.

think plenty of rushing, walking so fast we're almost running to shops, and end up feeling super exhausted.

and then it hit us that we're gonna go back to singapore. happy cos i'm homesick, yet sad cos it has been such an enjoyable time. not to mention that there's piles of hw awaiting -.

hm so yeah, i think the trip was really worth it, the experiences we got during homestay, school lessons etc, stuff like that are priceless.

and it's at this moment i feel that dhs is really great haha. sure there's mountainloads of stress, but it has its redeeming points lol
