met up with coconut kelly yesterday haha

her seemingly normal bag

which gave me a shock when the contents were all :

went to visit anita and ms ong at mavis, and ended up playing with anita's daughter who made us draw mazes and rabbits

and at the end of the lesson she gave us two stickers each! haha. oh yes kelly's getting me Time Traveler's Wife for my birthday! haha thx kelly! i promise i'll get you something pink

oh and i still cant find the Ecllipse in Borders, or Popular. Very upset because i really wanna read it! i've made up my mind to buy it already and it's all sold out, or the stock hasnt arrived. But at least i've got cousin lam hooked on it too haha

feeling very restless. 2008 is approaching. 2007 passed in a blur and i dont really know what i've achieved, or have not achieved.

Many people have made resolutions for the year 2008, and i wonder if i should too. but what's the point really, when i know i most probably cannot keep to my word, and all the resolutions will just serve to demoralise

bah new years always get on my nerves.

cun help it i just look too cute and endearing he's addicted

last three days were spent shopping, but there wasnt anything to buy actually

they have Mango there, but even at sale prices the clothes are more expensive and the range rather limited

so for the first two days of shopping we didnt buy much, but on the last day,

last minute shopping spree lol

all our bags were stuffed with the purchases, and the remaining had to be lugged back

in fact majority of our purchases were food - mangos, cherries, chocolates, nougats, gum, chips etc

trying to pack the mangos lol

the next day we had to say goodbye to the waves and sun =[

but the thing i missed the most when we were leaving - ROLLERCOASTERS

when will singapore ever have a decent themepark with puke-inducing rides? !

i miss the adrenalin rush, the crazy speeds, i'm addicted.

maybe i should go try out extreme sports, no?

we went to this island called Tangalooma for 2 days 1 night

the mothers, with their trusty umbrella

sis and i =] and yes she's taller now by 6 cm. freak! lol

someone's parasailing. i wanna fly too=[

and when we finally reached...

we wanted to beat the travel agent up.

he said the beach is better than redang, but in fact,

it was a major disappointment bleh

due to extreme boredom, we buried lam haha!

lol we provided bust enhancement for her!

the new boobs were so heavy she said she couldnt breathe haha

in the evening we went down to the beach again to feed wild dolphins!

the picture i took turned out looking kinda surreal, no idea why

according to the staff, the dolphins have been coming down to the beach every evening for 5 years, except for 7 days

we werent allowed to bring the camera down when feeding the dolphins so no pictures of that wonderful experience =[

when we went back to gold coast the next day, we headed for the beach, just 5 mins away from the hotel

the waves are bigger, the beach is bigger, everything is fantastic compared to Tangalooma lol

the mothers looking grumpy because they are paranoid about being in the sun

then they were cajoled into taking some funny pictures that i cannot post on the blog to protect their modesty haha

this is the only exception haha
then they retreated into their "shelter", and it was easy to spot them for they were the only ones looking like arabian women lol

just read The Time Traveler's Wife that i borrowed from cousin xinying

it's the third book that i've cried over

i cant remember the first one, but the second was very recent - New Moon, it's the sequel to Twilight

cousin xinying bought it at the airport for me, as a christmas present lol.

i'm certain that Time Traveler's Wife is one of those book that you MUST get a copy for yourself after reading it

sigh i love sad, heartwrenching stories

i love,

big fluffy towels
big warm blankets you can get tangled up in
bubble baths
heart-stopping rollercoasters
being able to sleep
finding a good read
sunny beaches

the last few days of holidays just make me feel so darn sad =[

we spent the most time, not in shopping centres, nor on the sunny beach, but in

SUPERMARKETS

Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, you name it, we've been there

we went to either of those three above EVERYDAY except for one day i think, cos aunt and mum cooked most of the dinners/breakfasts

so much that i can bet that we spent 70 percent of our money on food lol
delicious looking....

ok here's the post(s) on the trip to gold coast! not in chronological order

took the midnight flight, and nobody could get any sleep because of one screaming baby, so i was pretty much in a zombie-state on the next day

view from the hotel! look at the BIG WAVES

i'm gonna start with the three "worlds" we went to, namely Seaworld, Movieworld and Dreamworld because that's the best three days of the trip!

first stop, SEAWORLD

the two aunties who were probably the only ones holding umbrellas, AND hats. not to mention the thick layer of sunblock with more than SPF 50 that they MUST slather on before leaving the hotel. lol

the viking there is fantastic, it's almost vertical at the highest point!

there wasnt anything much in seaworld other than the dolphins, so we left pretty early

MOVIE WORLD!

the mothers, this time sans hats & umbrellas lol

THE BEST ROLLER COASTER RIDE EVER

this ride, called SUPERMAN is SUPERawesome. from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 2 SECONDS.

worth the one hour plus wait, but sadly due to the limited time cousin and i couldnt go for a second time =[

lethal weapon ride! your legs are dangling in mid-air lol

the two goons (second row), who wore raincoats but didnt cover their heads lol

i thought Movieworld's rides were great, well i thought wrong. DREAMWORLD'S BETTER!

THIS,

is 20 plus storeys high! the second mostthrilling ride of three worlds. superman is still unbeatable lol

cousin lam and i on the left. we went on the ride cos we feel that we wanna know the feeling of jumping off a building, and that it would make us think twice if we ever contemplate about commiting suicide haha this one, WIPEOUT, lam didnt wanna go with me so cousin xinying accompanied me! =]

the whole ride lasts 2 minutes plus, non stop 360 degrees turning lol

another fab ride, the CLAW!

sorta like the viking, but waaaay better and FASTER. makes you feel like you're gonna fly lol

motorbike rollercoaster! interesting but sorta uncomfortable cos there's only this bar securing you at the back

then there was this wild life area, where you get to feed kangaroos!

and hug koala bears! oh you know the thing about koala bears, that they're supposed to be cute and all?

it's FALSE! they are not cute, nor cuddly, they SCRATCH! all of us who took pics with the koala ended up with holes in our shirts and nasty scratches on our backs, esp lam lol.

so go to DREAMWORLD AND MOVIEWORLD! no offence to the dolphins there, but seaworld is a waste of money lol.

ok more pics another day, exhausted after a day out on the trial run of orientation for year 2s next year.

which is another 7 MORE DAYS! oh man
