AUSTRALIA: PART 2 (day 3)

went to visit the Agricultural College. the studying done there is all very practical stuff like milking cows etc. i know i wouldnt fall asleep if i had classes like those lol

the poor cows and their udders

not to forget that they are branded on the rear! funny how some humans do it out of their own free will- tattoos. haha

white roses in full bloom everywhere!

the college is big. actually every piece of property there is

feimiao enjoying his hot drink in peace

cos shiying isnt harassing him haha

tractors! kids there are under a 4-years contract to work in the college, and they get paid. so it's sorta like, getting paid to study. ahh but the possibility of that ever happening in singapore is probably zero

then we got to ride on the horses! i'm not talking about those little ponies that you see in the zoo ok, the horses we saw were magnificent and really tame

step, joanne, charlotte and i

and i really really like their eyes. so huge and kind you feel like you can see the world in them. or maybe it's just me?

pamela and i

i think the horse made a sudden movement, which explains why beverly looked scared and yuhui seems like he's gonna get a heart attack haha

no need to guess what's next, the sign says it all lol

steph and i

the guys, minus yuhui

sheep shearing is a bloody affair.

that spot of blood was just a miniscule amount compared to what was gushing out from the poor sheep's ear =/

and a really skilled sheep shearer(is that what they're called?), takes only 1 minute to shear a sheep

after that we met our respective hosts. was kinda nerve-wrecking, plus the fact that at the very last moment, regina, shiying and i were informed that 2 families volunteered to take in another kid each, which leaves one of us to stay in the hostel.

and so we settled it by oh-ya-bei-ya-som (however you spell it), and it ended up with shiying being the odd one out

so i was to go to the MClean's family, together with Yingjie from 3H. my host is Loren(cool name), and she has 2 younger brothers age 9 and 12.

lol the youngest brother has got pink streaks in his hair. hmm was a little awkward at first, and it was a pretty long ride to their house, but enjoyed the scenery and the vast open land during the ride

ok next post features the school activities/kangaroo meat/wave rock and lots more!
