just came back from job-hunting with val and jiayi..
what can i say?
the interviewer was really friendly, and nice. she was actually on the way out to an appointment when i called her, so she rushed back to meet us.
so lalala~ everything went well, UNTIL, she mentioned that there wasnt any BASIC PAY!
darnit. we earn by commission..
now i wish she wasnt so nice, cos i'm feeling kinda obligated to take the job..
dad thinks that it isnt a good job, selling toothpaste. hai. i agree.
shall dutifully check the CLASSIFIEDS every morning.

so after the interview, to FUNAN.

we felt like kukus eating bei bei mian outside pastamania while deciding where to go next h aha.
then we went to RAFFLES PLACE. rather high-end place that foreigners and expatriates frequent i think. EQUALS = higher pay!
but no luck..
raffles marketplace is big and cool! this angmoh lady smiled at me hahah.
saw this HUGE VEGETABLE! no idea what it is tho.

val took a SUPER long time deciding what kind of sushi to buy hahaa. made jiayi and i sooo hungry!

* val's FIRST CONQUEST of the MIGHTY WASABI! =]
then we sat beside this mini fountain (yimei you jealous? hehs)

* the water being forced out forms a star shape! definitely something more unique and different from ur run-of-the-mill fountains
passed by precious thots

*two spasheads in bliss -.-
AND, the best for the last!
saw this really nice ring. SQUARE! think michelle might like it.
if only it didnt cost $8.90 ...

the next time you visit raffles place, go check out the shop NOVA EFX.
weird name, apt for the weird BUT unique and super creative designs and stuff! man i love the place..
we went home a while later, kinda unproductive with only one potential job -.-
something dumb happened on the way home.
i mistook bus 32 for bus 33. then when it was a few stops from home, i saw another bus 33 pulling up beside the bus i'm on. then was musing to myself why so qiao got two same buses.
AND THEN the bus i'm on made a left turn, while 33 went straight!!
OMG. then i realised, i boarded the wrong bus.
darnit. mum said i should have worn my specs. oh well. i dunno whether to laugh at my blindness or go bang my head against the wall.
wait. i should laugh. better cure for positively ANYTHING!
readers' digest : LAUGHTER, THE BEST MEDICINE =]
even if it means that you're gonna have more laugh lines and wrinkles on ur face. it's worth it =]
LAUGH, PEOPLE. LAUGH!
