PART 3 ( DAY 4)
the first morning of the homestay, loren, her mom and her brother trent brought us their grandma's farm

and her grandma kindly drove us out to see the sheep!

dusty the dog, who's 10 years old, older than trent! lol

with the sheep

and their grandma has a garden, with fresh mandarin oranges, apples, broccoli, cauliflower etc. all organic! people here would pay loads for organic food, and there, a ready supply anytime just outside their doorstep lol
we made our way to Loren's second house, where there's an even bigger farm- took us more than an hour just driving around the farm!
on the road we saw some really creative structures made from barrels and whatnot

olympic runner! it has got a torch in its hand

loren drove us around the farm! haha wish i could drive, even if it's just in the carpark or something lol

it's the lambing season, so they had to check on the ewes and the newly born lambs
unfortunately there were some that had mishaps during birth

and some ewes couldnt get up after giving birth to their lambs, thus lying on one side, unable to move

the only way to help them is to prop the ewe up, and hope that they would regain balance soon

a poor lamb without its mother

and then we headed to Wave Rock! it's this massive rock that through several decades of soil erosion, resembles a huge wave

trent

and a funny sign at the wildlife park where we got to see white kangaroos!

on the way back, yet another beautiful sunset =]
