PART 4 ( DAYS 5 & 6)
on the first day of school, loren's mum drove us to school (1 and a half hour's ride)
they stay at the hostel, so yup yingjie and i stayed in the hostel with those who didnt have homestay for the remaining days in Narrogin

oh yeah we were wearing our school uniform, bare legs suffering from the chilly winds cos we didnt receive the msg Mdm John sent saying there's no need to don the school uni cos it's too cold -. bah.
my school host is shaun, the guy on my left. beside him is feimiao's host, Ben (not the guy trying to lick feimiao haha!)
oh yeah they call feimiao "Fei", and i'm "Wen". haha. should have gotten ourselves an english name first to make things easier for them to pronounce lol
in english class, taught by a Singaporean called Mr Chris Leon
apparently they dont greet their teachers, and that left me kind of feeling out of sorts cos it's kinda weird not standing up and greeting them before lessons lol
we did aboriginal art. chaoyuan's was fantastic, mine was hm. deserves to be burnt for warmth. haha

shaun had metal work class after that, and there werent many girls keen in the field of welding and building stuff i guess, so i was the only female there haha
i tried my hand at welding!
and trying to stick two pieces of metal together lol. it's hard work! plus i get to wear funny goggles

hm school life there is really laid back. not as much stress as we experience here.
and you know what? that totally suits me. darn i wish i can study there, though life there is really different, in terms of culture and everything.

despite having read many books regarding US, aus, britain school life, i didnt expect it to be so true and hmm, i got a culture shock?
i suppose they would find it hard to adapt when they come over too lol.
think they'll feel claustrophobic in singapore too, with all the buildings side by side, busy roads and not much open land. did i mention that there's no traffic lights in Narrogin? haha
hm i seem to be ending all the posts with sunsets. this one is the most spectacular, with the pink orange hues.
