i've forgotten how good it is to read, to be completely absorbed in a book, so much that you can shut out everything

pam lent me gossipgirls, which is chicklit and well, gossipy. hm don't think i'll read anymore though, cos i'll just keep reading during class or something and i cant really afford to lag behind in lessons

but Memory Keeper's Daughter was a beautiful story, one of such hurt and love that i couldnt put the book down. felt kind of sad, that when one man's attempt to protect his family from grief, turned out to hurt the family even more and drive them apart.

words unspoken, things undone, secrets kept buried. it's better to let go of grievances and put down the burdens, no?

i shall buy the book the next time i go Borders, and the Time Traveler's Wife too. worth reading thoroughly. I'm such a sucker for stories that tug at the heartstrings lol.

anyone has good books to recommend?
